Answers to common questions about how Routine Habit works, what Habit Pro unlocks, and how to reach us directly.

The basics

How Routine Habit works.

Creating and logging a habit.

Tap the + button on the Home tab to create a habit — give it a name, an icon, and a schedule (every day, specific weekdays, or a number of times per week). Tap a habit on Home to log it complete for today, or open its detail view to log a specific count for quantified habits (like "8 glasses of water").

Grace days.

Life happens. Each habit forgives one missed scheduled day per rolling 7-day window — your streak carries through instead of resetting to zero. You can see which days were grace days in the habit's history grid.

Reminders.

Reminders adapt as a habit matures: daily at a fixed time for your first two weeks, then shifting to when you actually tend to log it, then fading to a light, occasional nudge once the habit feels automatic. You control reminder times and can turn them off per habit in the habit's settings.

One-time purchase. Pay once, keep Habit Pro forever — no renewal, ever.

What Habit Pro unlocks

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What happens if I miss a day?

If it's your first missed scheduled day in the last 7 days, it's automatically covered by your grace day and your streak continues. If you've already used your grace day this week, the streak resets — but your longest streak and full history are always preserved.

Is my data private?

Yes. Routine Habit is fully on-device — there's no account, no server, and no analytics. If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, your data syncs through your own iCloud account, never through a server we operate. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No — the Watch app and complications are entirely optional. Everything works fully on iPhone alone; the Watch companion just adds a faster way to log habits and see today's progress from your wrist.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely through your Apple ID, not inside Routine Habit. Open the Settings app on your iPhone → your name → Subscriptions → Routine Habit, and cancel or change your plan there. You can also tap "Manage or Cancel Subscription" from Routine Habit's Change Plan screen, which opens the same Apple system settings.
