Privacy Policy for Routine Habit

Effective date: July 5, 2026

Routine Habit is an iOS app designed to work entirely on your device. This policy explains what data the app handles and — just as importantly — what it does not.

No servers, no accounts

Routine Habit has no backend server and does not require you to create an account or sign in. All of your habit data — names, schedules, logs, and streaks — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

iCloud Sync (optional)

If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your habit data is synced between your own devices using your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in your iCloud account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and is never sent to or accessible by the developer.

Calendar access (optional)

If you grant calendar access, Routine Habit reads your calendar locally on-device to help schedule habit reminders around existing events. This data is never transmitted anywhere.

Apple Watch and widgets (optional)

If you use the Apple Watch companion app, your habit data syncs directly between your iPhone and your paired Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. No server is involved — data never leaves your own devices.

Home Screen, Lock Screen, and Apple Watch widgets read a local snapshot of your data from a private App Group container on your device, shared only between Routine Habit and its own widget extensions.

Notifications

Routine Habit uses Apple's local notification framework to remind you about your habits. No notification content is sent to or processed by any third-party service.

In-app purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. The developer never receives or stores your payment information.

Analytics and tracking

Routine Habit does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind. No usage data is collected or transmitted.

Children's privacy

Routine Habit does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all — all data stays on-device or in the user's own iCloud account.
